Friends... I have been thinking about this quite some time... It can sound weird or insane... but felt like sharing with u all....
Everyone must have heard about Deva's and Asura's rite?
Deva's are people who are considered to be nice goody goody persons.. while Asura's as monsters and ogres....Asura's always get wiped out by God ( for the pleading of deva's ).
But seeing the history as a whole, don't Asura's need justice? have they ever been given fairness and equivality?
Take for example " AMIRDHAM ". Or in other words the elixir of life.
Drinking of the same would give eternal existence. It had to be taken out from deep under the sea, which was way beyond the potentiality of Deva's. For the purpose of begetting the same they unified with Asura's.
Grinding the sea emerged miraculous things and providential beings. All where seized by greedy Deva's leaving nothing to Asura's.
Finally out came the amirtham which was consumed by Deva's and not sharing the same with Asura's who had equivalent stake in the same.
I have read about tales praising the god for annihilating the Asura's.
The various reasons being
1) Asura's performing deep meditation. ( which may lead them to great power on earth, envious deva's destroy the same or complain to god to disturb the same )
2) For the reason of engaging a war with Deva's ( conquering and acquiring places and worlds were a common activity in those days ). Weaklings never deserve what they possess, isn't it?.
Haven't we heard of many tales where many deva's have misbehaved more barbarically and rudely? They have assaulted many women for sex and deceived them with disguise. They have betrayed many rishi's fearing their growth over them. All they receive is just a small punishment. While Ravana who had kidnapped Sita was waiting for her acceptance to marry him.
Friends, my argument is not on who is good and who is bad.
But both have been performing evil deeds and why only asura's are slaughtered and deva's left alone? Does god show partiality? He created Asura's isn't it? They also look upon God for their well being. Your comments pls…
